struggleing, I fight.
but my foe,waits.... patience on its side.
it knows, its only a matter of time...
i will let down my gaurd. step easily into its grasp;
It waits. knowing, i will sucumb, my struggle in vain. sleep will win and I will fall...
into the darkness that lurks. waiting for me there....
wiating for me to quiet my mind,to creep in. to find me,
no matter where i run or where i hide.
so I turn and stand, waiting....
weariness weighing too heavy.
the stance of one chased for too long. head hanging, eyes never leaving their assailant,leggs apart, braced. knowing the onslaught that will come.
acceptance of my mortality, I face the ever changng body it hides in.
I tell it "you are just a dream
you cannot hurt me"...
it sneers,laughing,.it knows better.Bring the rain I pray. Bring the blurr of grey falling water....
