In The Sight of The Wolf

When I walk in the quiet of the night

There is a sorrowful sound that echoes from somewhere

Is it the calling of a desparaging, long-lost soul who asks...

'Who are you? And What brings you to this night?'

I have no answer, but the future is clear, I am one

With all that surrounds me and there is peace

Perhaps I was awakened by the faint cry of a wolf

Off into the distance where there must be some turmoil

And because I am a Native, I do truly understand

Why things like this occur in the pale moon

I know that I can look into a wild wolf's eyes

And not feel any fear, but a relationship that will last

THroughtout the ages, as long as we are one

With Nature

Our Mother Earth...our life

I will walk through the day and through the night

And I will know that all is well

Because in the sight of the wolf...

I am a friend
