Not realizing sometimes what we already possess
We walked around blinded by the emptiness that fills our soul
It is not because of the adversities you believe you have in your life
Which at first you may have believed was the true origin of futility?
But a created unfulfilled delusion of a surreal world of false insignificance
Deep within your sub consciousness you’ve created the illusion of a perfect reality
An Illusion of fallacy that you have blindly chosen to pursue
Where your thoughts have all become distorted and twisted
That you can no longer see through the emptiness of despair
And began chasing an fantasy of your own imagination
Search deep into your sub consciousness and find the beginning
Because what you want is not always what you need

`I also wrote this under a different name...
"The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence" or you may think something is better than what you have.
"but that greener grass may be Astro Turf" or it is not real and you will lose everything you had.
The Coyote had an apple that had fallen from the tree and as he was crossing a stream he saw a bigger redder apple in the water and he dropped his small real apple which floated away and kept trying to grab at the bigger redder apple which was in the water, finally he realized that it was a reflection of an apple from another tree and it was so high up he could not reach it ,so he had nothing to eat and went hungry.

`The grass may look greener on the other side, but if you tend your own grass with care and attentiveness it will be just as green, or maybe even greener Love your poetry, Bill. You seem like a "still waters run deep" kinda guy. A lot of angst and torment in your poetry, but very beautiful all the same. Much love and respect to you.
