Hi! My name is DiAna. My tribe is from AZ, but I was born and raised here in Northern Cali. I joined this site because I am interested in other native cultures and opinions. Whether it's politics or about spirituality, I'm curious to see how you feel about things. I lived on my rez (Gila River Indian Community) in AZ for about 6 years. Being born and raised in Cai, this move was a dramatic change for me. I went to school for a bit on the rez and got jumped by the second day. Luckily, I have brothers and knew how to fight hahaha.
Anyway, it was a culture shock, but it's MY culture so I really took advantage of the time I spent there and got a better understanding of my heritage.
My grandfather is Pomo out here in Cali so, I learned alot of the Pomo culture growing up.
I admire how us natives are all spiritually connected to the universe, but yet we all have are own customs and traditions within our own tribes.
I hope our children don't forget where our roots come from...
I wanna know what you all have to share about your culture that is why I am here. Yeah, I'm single, but I'm not really interested in finding someone...I desire a good quality man, but I'm not going to look for it online...So.....Let's be friends!
