As i lay in the Darkness, oh I have come to Fear the Night...But lying next to me, My one True Freind....My M16....Laying beside Me Comforting Me as I Tremble....Suddenly Peircing Thru the Darkness a Tracer Flash....Suddenly the Night Explodes into Daylight....Breifly I can not Move....Then with the quicxkness of a Jaguar my Weapon and I become ONE....Around me i can See the Flashes of my Brothers and Sisters Firing into the Abyss to Track the Unseen Enemy....It seems as if TIME has Stood Still, and even Stopped....Then Suddenly I Feel It, "NO" I Scream "NO"....As I Fall, my Mind Does Not Comprehend what has just Happened, and Momentarily all is Silent....Then Back I Come, I can Smell and Taste the Guns Powder in my Mouth....Then I Feel the Warmth of my Blood as it Starts to Surround me....I Lay There Watching the Chaotic Scene Unfolding Before me....I Then Continue to Fire....Until Bullets No More I Have....Then Suddenly All is Quiet and Serene Once More.... To this Day I Sometimes Awake in the Night Screaming "NO" "NO"....As I sit up in Bed Trembling, Small Tears Falling Upon My Cheeks....I Realize That I am HOME and Once Again Safe.... For Now....
