“Crying For Her Heart

How many times have I cried
As I shed my tears with regrets
To see our Mothers belly being ripped open
By these machines of destruction
My country
Amerika say it is ours
But for greed & wealth they come to take it from us
They dig into her womb for the wealth inside
But they dont see the damage that they are doing
They suck up the seeds of life
I cry the tears of my Mother
The tears of my ancestors
These profuse tears that overflow
Theyre weeping with much grieving
As the Amerikas tries to separate our heart
From our Mothers life force
From our existing reality
To the unconsciousness of struggling existence
Contrasted with nonexistence we oppose
Not the dreams of limited reality
Creators substance made the living substance reality
Creator gave these rights as my memory to my ancestors
This is essence to our life
The spirit of our holy lands cry
How can the Mother care for them that want to destroy
Everything Amerika touches it becomes sore
So my heart cries for all our relations
In all the ways we are related as one
This ground we stand on is sacred ground
It is the spirit of our ancestors
So we will make one final effort to protect our Holy Mother
Many times I have cried
I sleep on my Mothers belly to protect her
With no regret I will stand again

`I believe most women could relate to the earth in this post at various times of their experience in this society. How one, or group regards the earth is generally reflected in their treatment of women as well I have noticed anyway.
